Now of course you may be asking! Mike, why do you love this game so much?
Im actually quite unsure as to why I love this game! I first found this game during 2015 on youtube by the original intro of MTMB popping up randomly and I genuinely thought it was a really cool video but didnt think much of it, heck i didnt even know it was gonna be a game! Later on I ended up finding Luigikid's demo playthrough of the game before the full version released and I got hooked, horror was scary back then to me so I was slightly careful watching it (despite the fact I watched more gruesome stuff that was on youtube back then, thanks unsupervised internet access!) even though I didnt understand english much back then it still got me entirely hooked on the game, especially when the full thing released.
This game basically inspired everything to me really! It got me into horror a lot and not only that I absolutely adored CorpseSyndrome's artstyle (And still do to this day!) I always felt inspired seeing how beautiful their work was and how much I wanted to reach to that point of art as well which kept me motivated to still do art! And also I later on found out CorpseSyndrome was the one who made a few Mario flipnotes I used to watch back then as well X) so it was really cool to me when I found that out a long ass time ago, they're still a huge inspiration to me!
I also absolutely ADORE the art, story and characters of MTMB! Even if people find this game corny or something due to it being edgy mario and stuff, it means a lot to me and was part of basically my childhood in a way! (Which it probably shouldnt have but Im still really glad I managed to find out about this game)
Genuinely still wish I kept the old drawings I made of this game but I cant seem to find most of them, some arent fully lost to time but at the same time its quite hard to find them! The drawings mean a whole lot to me and it showed how much I loved this game with all my heart.
UPDATE, I OFFICIALLY FOUND OLD ART THAT I MADE FOR MY LOVE OF THIS GAME!! IM NOT GONNA DELETE OR EDIT THE MESSAGE ABOVE BUT I WISH TO SHOW U THEM CUZ IM SO HAPPY I MANAGED TO FIND THEM! Most are paper art as I drew on that a lot back then! I have yet to still find the digital ones!
That sure was something! That Marchionne drawing was a small inside joke on where I couldnt spell Marchionnes name right most of the time so I ended up resorting to calling him macaroni xdd. Although sorry for some pics not being the same size! Had to crop a few and such.
Im not sure how old some of these are, I know some are from 2016 or 2017 though! Maybe some are quite older! I dont know! Im just more glad I managed to find these drawings as I dont want any of them to be lost or gone!
Also these drawings are quite really simple honestly but I can tell I had much fun making them due to how much I adored this game. (And I still do!)
Im currently as well excited for (Mario) The Music Box RESET! Just some time ago I finished and 100% the remastered version of the original MTMB and my god it was really good! I loved the new art and how much I noticed how different it is compared to the old original game. I also played through the cancelled demo of the MTMB ARC Remastered (which will move to MTMB RESET) and I absolutely LOVED it even if it was short! I loved the new cutscenes and the animated ones are amazing as well! this frame in one of the animations below this text is genuinely so funny to me it gave me a good laugh when I first saw it, I love this dumb fisheye mario frame a lot.
Im also excited for the new route in the remastered version of MTMB ARC! I genuinely cant wait to see how it plays out as it focuses on one of my favorite characters, cant wait for when the full game comes out! I hope CorpseSyndrome and their team takes their time on making it!
I think thats all I have to say really! I cant really think of anything else to say! Maybe ill find the words to say more later but who knows? I just appreciate this game a lot and I wanted to make a page dedicated to it due to how much it impacted my life (in a good way!) and how much inspiration it gave me, that is all I can say!
